The Road

once a man told me i'll not be able to bring it back
i've a road there in front of me lying, i have my track
every step there is preconsidered and neatly planned
i will slowly move, one by one, 'till i come to end

i've a road there, i started moving and cannot stop
all the dirtiest street views are never to photoshop
"watch that, honey", he said, "watch the dirt and don't close your eyes,
there'll be plenty of time to demolish and immunize

there's the road, sunshine, and it will lead you to empty place
you will build up the shelves and you'll fill them with knowledge base,
there'll be seventy hundred percent of the shit aboard
and some tiniest victories you will consider scored

there's a path, and you've noone to happily be your guide
watch your forehead, for you will be able to prove you've tried
and wherever it leads you, do promise you won't regret
that you've learned their tragedies, heroes and alphabet"

once a man told me i'll not be able to contemplate
neither prayers nor fighting will help me accept the fate
but the only acceptable thing that will lie ahead
is those sundays consisting of sunsets and lemonbread
